Chance Mullins is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Preferred Exteriors, a Dallas–Fort Worth construction, restoration, and exterior property services company serving homeowners, property managers, commercial property owners, builders, real estate professionals, and insurance-related clients.
Chance has worked in restoration, roofing, and property claims since 2006. His background includes roofing marketing, field technician work with Hancock Claims Consultants and Seek Now, experience as a Nationwide property adjuster, and project management with Talomar Roofing. After years on the insurance and claims side, Chance saw too many property owners taken advantage of by contractors who overpromised, cut corners, or failed to finish the job. Preferred Exteriors was built to offer a better experience.
The company has grown from being preferred by 25 insurance carriers to more than 100, supported by ongoing vetting, financial reviews, background checks, insurance requirements, and consistent performance. Preferred Exteriors also holds a residential roofing license through RCAT and manufacturer credentials with Owens Corning, GAF, IKO, and CertainTeed.
Chance leads with Christian values, clear communication, high accountability, and a people-first mindset. His goal is for every customer to feel they made one of the best business decisions they have ever made.
Sherry Mullins has been part of the roofing, construction, and restoration industry for 17 years and has been with Preferred Exteriors since 2021. Her experience includes working with multiple roofing and construction companies, as well as starting and operating her own estimating company for five years.
Before entering the restoration industry, Sherry spent 10 years as an administrator for a world-renowned heart surgeon, where she developed the organization, attention to detail, and communication skills that continue to define her work today. As an estimator, she takes pride in staying current with code compliance, manufacturer specifications, and continuing education so she can help ensure every project is estimated accurately and responsibly.
Originally from Michigan, Sherry moved to Texas at 18 and has called it home ever since. Outside of work, she enjoys restoring old furniture and spending time with her dog, Max.
Cassie Carroll brings more than 10 years of experience in the equine veterinary industry, where she developed a strong foundation in care, communication, attention to detail, and service. Her career has been shaped by a deep respect for animals and a lifelong connection to the equine world, including horse riding and team roping.
As a former Division I college athlete, Cassie understands discipline, teamwork, resilience, and the importance of showing up prepared. Those values continue to guide her as she takes on new professional challenges and expands her skill set.
Outside of work, Cassie enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, whether biking, hiking, or exploring new places. She brings a strong work ethic, a love of learning, and a grounded, dependable approach to everything she does.
Jonathan Lonsinger brings 10 years of roofing experience to Preferred Exteriors, including eight years as an independent inspector for insurance carriers. Throughout his career, he has inspected more than 10,000 roof claims across the country, giving him a deep understanding of roofing systems, storm damage, claim documentation, and the restoration process.
His field experience allows him to evaluate roofing concerns with accuracy, communicate clearly with property owners, and help ensure projects are approached with honesty and attention to detail.
Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys golfing, paintball, gaming, cars, and traveling with his wife, Krista.
